Facial Features of the Eyes and Eyelids
Explanations of Facial Features of the Eyes and Eyelids
Slant of the Eye from Inner to Outer Corner:
- Eyes slant up - when drawing a line through the inner and outer corner of the eye, the line slants up laterally
- Eyes slant down - the line slants down laterally
Size of Iris:
- Small - the iris (colored part of the eyeball) is exceptionally small in diameter, or beady
- Large - the iris is exceptionally large and partially hidden by the lids
Space Between the Eyes
- Close together - the eyes are especially close together, crowded to the midline relative to the whole face.
- Far apart - the eyes are especially distant from each other, closer to the temples relative to the whole face
Set of the Eyes
- Deep set eyes - the eyes are especially deep in their sockets
- Protruding eyes - the eyes seemingly pop out of their sockets (a permanent condition)
